Nellsar Care Homes Group is seeking a Dining Assistant at The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford to support residents during meals and ensure a high-quality dining experience. The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centred care within a supportive team environment.

The position offers 30 contracted hours per week, with every other weekend off where applicable, and an hourly rate of £13. A comprehensive benefits package includes training, DBS, pension, and progression opportunities

Job Vacancy: Dining Assistant Location: The Old Downs Residential Care Home in Dartford, Kent Contracted hours: 30 hours (to include – every other weekend free, as applicable),

You will have the opportunity to excel whilst: The Dining Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the direction of the Catering Team to assist with meals for the residents.
• Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
• Liaising with care staff, residents, and visitors in a polite and person-centred way.
• Together with the Catering Team, to ensure a high standard of food preparation is maintained and to implement the requirements as set out by the Food Safety Act 1990.
• Ensuring a refreshments trolley is prepared and offered to residents and guests throughout the day.
• Maintaining the hydration station & ensuring it is well stocked.
• Preparing the tea trolley and supporting residents during the tea rounds.
