Job summary

TXM Recruit is recruiting for a Dilapidation Handyman to support maintenance and dilapidation works across East Midlands railway stations on a 6-month contract. Pay rate is £19 per hour (CIS) with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Travel between sites, full clean driving licence essential.

The role suits practical, hands-on individuals who can work independently across multiple locations and on outdoor environments within railway settings.

Qualifications

• Reliable, punctual, flexible including early mornings, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general handyman, repair and dilapidation works across multiple railway stations.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering and making-good tasks.
• Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, fixtures, fittings and station furniture.
• Identify and report defects, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Keep platforms, walkways and public areas safe, clean and presentable.
• Support station refurbishment, closure and reopening works where required.
• Follow railway safety procedures and safe systems of work.
• Carry out planned, reactive and winterisation works as required.

TXM Recruit are working in partnership with a high-profile railway client who are looking for Dilapidation Handyperson to support maintenance, and improvement works across East Midlands railway stations on a 6-month contract, paying £19 per hour (CIS).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a practical, hands-on background who enjoys working independently, travelling between different sites and carrying out a variety of maintenance and dilapidation tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general handyman, repair and dilapidation works across multiple railway stations.
• Complete minor carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering and making-good tasks.
• Repair and maintain walls, floors, doors, fixtures, fittings and station furniture.

• Pay Rate: £19 per hour (CIS)
• Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with the option to work longer days Monday-Thursday and have Friday off.
• Driving Licence: Full clean licence essential
