Digitalisation Business Analyst - 9 Month Contract - Investment Banking
An international finance team within a leading organisation is seeking a Hybrid Business Analyst to support its Controllers function. This team is responsible for a range of regulatory, financial, and management reporting requirements across the EMEA region. The successful candidate will support various business lines and provide localised insight and delivery capability for the regional CFO and wider management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Business Analyst specialising in digital transformation using tools such as Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Alteryx, and Power BI.
- Collaborate with delivery teams under an Agile methodology to manage end-to-end project deliverables involving digital tools.
- Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and process improvement across financial operations.
- Support the organisation’s digital agenda by analysing manual processes, re-engineering them, and deploying digital solutions.
- Evaluate and propose enhancements to the digital toolkit, potentially incorporating Python, AI, or other innovative technologies.
- Assist with release management processes for digital tools and provide post-deployment support.
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of digital tools.
- Play a key role in advancing AI initiatives by exploring relevant use cases and piloting proof-of-concept solutions within the Controllers function.
- Degree-level education.
- Hands-on experience with digital tools including the Microsoft 365 Power Platform suite, Alteryx, Power BI, and Co-Pilot.
- Proven experience in project or business management with a strong delivery track record.
- Solid technical background with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Access, Visio).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with excellent time and project management abilities; capable of prioritising and delivering multiple workstreams to deadline.
- Ability to work autonomously and apply professional judgement to identify and resolve issues.
- High level of attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a Controllers or regulatory reporting environment.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
- Collaborative team player with flexibility and adaptability.
- Ability to maintain strategic oversight while managing detailed tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint.
- Understanding of financial products such as derivatives, loans, secured lending, and cash products.
