Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a Digital Trainer to design and deliver training for staff on clinical and business digital systems, including national programmes. The role sits within the Digital Training & Engagement team, coordinating end-user training for IT implementations within project timescales.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in developing and delivering training, with a recognised learning and development qualification or equivalent

• Degree-level education or equivalent experience delivering training services.
• Recognised learning and development qualification.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver training so staff use clinical and business digital systems efficiently.
• Train staff at all levels on existing clinical systems and new systems introduced by the Trust or national programmes.
• Coordinate end-user training for IT system implementations within project timescales.
• Identify training needs for each job role and tailor lesson plans accordingly.
• Assist in designing and delivering high-quality digital training for Trust staff.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of clinical information systems and related working processes across the Trust.
• Provide training, support and guidance on Microsoft Office products.
• Support Information Governance training and help the Trust meet targets within national guidelines and strategies.
• Educate staff to use new technology that may significantly alter existing roles.
• Promote a positive attitude towards digital change, information use and data collection.
• Support the transfer and expansion of existing digital skills to meet new requirements.
