We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Trading Manager to join our B&M team based in our Central Support Office in Lasswade on a 12-month fixed-term basis. You will manage the online platform to ensure dobbies.com produces strong sales by developing a digital strategy specific to your category(s), including product and brand onboarding, edit creation, and on-site merchandising. As a manager and leader within Dobbies, you will demonstrate strong team management skills, driving performance by empowering your direct reports and teams to make informed decisions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall sell-through of the business, ensuring all products achieve strong sales, and deliver a clear product focus through edit creation and on-site mechanisms.
- Support and deliver the digital strategy specific to your category(s).
- Utilize analytics to understand customer behaviors and develop the best online customer journey and experience.
- Collaborate with other business areas to ensure dobbies.com accurately represents our stores and product offerings.
- Act as a digital champion, recognizing and representing trends.
- Set up and build new products online, ensuring features, categories, pricing, imagery, and attributes are accurate.
- Work with Buying & Operations to complete product attribute sheets accurately.
- Upload and maintain products on the detail page.
- Manage daily and launch walkthroughs, website checks, and resolve issues or requests.
- Respond promptly to Customer Service team issues, ensuring timely fixes.
- Ensure visual merchandising for allocated categories meets guidelines set by Digital Visual Merchandising.
- Write product descriptions as needed.
- Support seasonal sales and promotional launches.
- Assist with user acceptance testing for new functionalities, reporting issues, bugs, and enhancements.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Merchandising, Creative, Buying, Customer Service, and Operations.
- Coordinate with the E-commerce team on administrative tasks.
- Contribute to weekly/monthly reports and present trading analyses.
- Manage team budget, performance, and other management aspects.
- Train and mentor junior team members.
- Oversee daily team issues, coach, develop, and drive performance to meet company goals.
- Create a positive, engaging work environment, recognizing achievements and inspiring others.
- Provide honest, constructive feedback as an effective coach.
