Job summary

Job description

Overview

Responsible for the collection, development, analysis, and presentation of data and performance metrics for digital products and services. Maintains data sources, metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to evaluate the performance and growth of digital banking. Develops and maintains shared data sources to ensure consistency, accuracy, and availability of digital banking data across business units. Supports the Digital Division by analyzing data to measure results, provide forecasts, and support strategic decisions. Provides Tier 3 support for escalated incidents and conducts research for documentation requests, including subpoenas.

Responsibilities
  1. Data Needs and Support
  • Collaborate with vendors, developers, database admins, and teams to define requirements for views, queries, and tables supporting analytics.
  • Assess reporting needs with management and staff, understanding the purpose behind each project to create relevant reports.
  • Understand corporate data sources and their relationships to support BI development.
  • Analyze reporting requirements, assess current reports, and plan appropriate solutions.
  • Prioritize and implement statistical/report requests from teams and departments.
  • Reports and Dashboards
    • Maintain recurring and ad-hoc reports and dashboards.
    • Extract data from various systems and ensure reports meet performance needs.
    • Use software tools to assemble and format data reports that are user-friendly.
    • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality of reports.
    • Explore new reporting tools and recommend enhancements.
    • Support personnel with reporting needs.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation
    • Interpret and summarize statistical outputs.
    • Participate in report interpretation and context.
    • Run simulations and identify trends and exceptions.
    • Perform statistical and financial analyses and report findings.
    • Train end-users on report access and usage.
  • Tier 3 Support and Training
    • Train others on data sources, reporting, and software tools.
    • Respond to high-level support incidents, perform troubleshooting, and research data issues.
    • Manage incident queues and communicate with support teams.
    • Document troubleshooting processes and create job aids.
    • Assist with data collection for subpoenas or other needs.
    Qualifications

    Education and Certifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field preferred; certifications in BI tools, SQL, Tableau, etc., are advantageous.

    Experience:

    1-2 years with BI tools in medium to large companies; 1-3 years designing and maintaining statistical reports; experience with relational databases, data warehouses, SQL, Oracle, Splunk, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics; familiarity with JavaScript, Python, Microsoft BI stack, Tableau, and dashboard design is preferred.

    Skills and Abilities:

    Ability to translate concepts into solutions, manage multiple tasks, prioritize, communicate effectively, and work independently as a motivated team player.
