About the Role

We are seeking a Digital Product Manager to define and deliver the strategy for a portfolio of digital platforms, services, and solutions that create customer value and support sustainable business growth. In this role, you will shape the direction of key products, ensuring they respond to evolving customer needs while contributing to wider organisational objectives. Working across the full product lifecycle, from discovery and development through to launch, optimisation, and retirement, you will translate insight into action and help deliver meaningful digital experiences. This role is ideal for a commercially minded Digital Product Manager.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this role include defining and evolving our Key Account digital product offer, establishing effective communication channels across markets and OUP branches, and partnering closely with Sales to drive product engagement and value for key accounts. You will use customer research, market analysis, data, and commercial understanding to identify opportunities, prioritise investment, and develop product roadmaps that deliver measurable outcomes. Collaborating closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, Business Product Owners, technology teams, sales, marketing and external partners, you will bring products and features to market that balance customer needs with business goals. Building strong relationships across the organisation, you will work with stakeholders at all levels to create alignment around product strategy and ensure successful delivery of key initiatives.

As a member of the Digital Product team, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation. You will support the development of colleagues, share knowledge and best practice, and help strengthen product management capability across the function. We are looking for someone with experience delivering successful digital products, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work effectively in a complex environment.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

Essential: Proven success in defining and delivering successful digital products through the full lifecycle (ideation through to retirement). Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams. Familiar with a variety of project management methodologies including Lean Product Management and Agile. Demonstrable understanding of commercial and financial planning. Build and manage successful, collaborative relationships with customers, commercial partners, and colleagues. Compelling communication, networking and influencing within a matrix structure: in particular to find a consensus and a way forward which balances needs. Great listening skills which facilitate the gathering of information from a number of sources and build the best product roadmap. High emotional intelligence. Strong interpersonal skills and experience with complex stakeholder management.

Desirable: Knowledge of education publishing market. Demonstrable experience of successfully embedding change. Line management experience.
