Digital Procurement & IT Asset Manager

Location: Chorley and Leyland


Contract: Full time (36.25 hours per week) / Permanent


Salary: £41,771 - £44,075 + 6% car allowance

What you’ll be getting up to


  • You’ll lead end-to-end procurement processes for digital services and IT infrastructure, from tendering and evaluation to contract award and supplier performance management.

  • You’ll act as a key interface with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Service Leads to ensure compliance with public sector regulations and internal governance.

  • You’ll oversee the strategic management of council IT assets, ensuring efficient, compliant, and digitally enabled procurement activities.

  • You’ll monitor the status of all digital contracts and assets, maintaining accurate inventories and asset tracking using digital tools.


Who we’re looking for


  • You have excellent organisational skills.

  • You have proven experience in IT asset management, including software licensing.

  • You have experience of the digital and IT market and its supply chains, and working with external third‑party suppliers.

  • You have strong knowledge of general IT systems including Microsoft Office, database management, and finance systems.

  • You have strong analytical skills to assess market options and contracts, with financial acumen to support budgeting and cost control.


Other requirements


  • This role requires some travel around our boroughs. You should have a valid driving licence or equivalent mobility.

  • Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check (applied and paid for by the Council).
