Job summary

Morson Group in Chesterfield is seeking a Digital Print & Finishing Operator to join our expanding print production team. Based at our Chesterfield site, you will manage the full production process from file prep to final QC and packing, operating digital print and finishing equipment.

You will work across day and afternoon shifts, training on Jetrix and Kongsberg systems, maintaining high quality output while adhering to SOPs and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in small-format digital print and finishing; training provided.
• Proficient with digital print workflows and quality control processes.
• Comfortable working with computer software for print production (Onyx Thrive or Print Factory desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate a range of digital print and finishing equipment.
• Manage the full print workflow from ripping files to printing.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in optimal condition.

Digital Print & Finishing Operator

Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire

Shifts: 06:00-14:00 /14:00 22:00

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are excited to offer an opportunity for a Digital Print & Finishing Operator to join our industry-leading team. Based at our Chesterfield site, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of our print and finishing department, taking responsibility for the full production process-from file preparation through to final quality control and packing.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a range of digital print and finishing equipment
• Manage the full print workflow, including ripping files and sending jobs to print
• Operate digital cutters and complete packing of finished products
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in optimal condition
• Carry out thorough quality control checks on all output
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with SOPs and health & safety standards
• Work flexibly across day and afternoon shifts to support business demand

Machinery You'll Work With

• Jetrix i8 flatbed digital printer
• Jetrix 320 roll-to-roll digital printer
• Kongsberg digital cutter
• J-Cut digital cutter

About You

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Passion for print and finishing processes
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in small-format digital print and finishing (Jetrix and Kongsberg preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided)
• Proficient with software such as Onyx Thrive and/or Print Factory (desirable)
• Highly computer literate and numerate, with good problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
