Job summary

EQUANS is seeking a Digital Operations Centre Manager to lead the DOC from our Leeds base, supporting sites across the North East. The role combines BMS and IT/IoT services with strong client and KPI focus.

You will manage a multi-disciplinary team, maintain P&L between £1m and £3m, and drive contract performance across various sites with travel as needed. A degree or equivalent trade qualification is required.

Qualifications

• Degree level education or qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical/remote systems).
• Experience managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scale, including software, networking and Java.
• Thorough knowledge of BMS industry and systems (Trend, Tridium, Siemens).
• Strong client focus with proven ability to meet KPIs and deliver contracts.
• Experience with HVAC/M&E systems and multiple contract environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage digital service provision for the DOC and lead day-to-day operations of the BMS Remote Service Engineers and project support (~10 staff).
• Run regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients; upsell where possible.
• Deliver contract KPIs and ensure SLAs are met; manage compliance and safety standards.
• Engage stakeholders and support PMO; maintain P&L between £1m–£3m; travel to sites as required.

Job description

Equans is looking for a Digital Operations Centre Manager to join our Digital business, based from our office in Leeds with the objective to support sites across the North East.

Key activities

• Responsibility for digital service provision in the DOC
• Day to Day Management of BMS Remote Service Engineers, BMS Project Support and other digital/IoT services (approx. 10 persons)
• Regular contract reviews with customers and senior clients, upselling services where possible
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts
• BMS, IT, Software, Operational understanding and awareness
• Delivery of contract KPI’s – meeting SLAs
• Management of statutory, legal, safety and contract compliance standards
• Stakeholder engagement and supporting PMO
• P&L responsibility between £1m - £3m
• Travelling to sites in the portfolio to undertake service reviews, safety visits and meet teams
• Degree level education, or, Qualified and experienced trade (electrotechnical/remote systems)
• Experience of managing self-delivered and subcontracted BMS services on a large scale, software, networking and Java
• Thorough working knowledge of the BMS industry and systems our teams may encounter (ie, Trend, Tridium, Siemens etc)
• Excellent knowledge of HVAC plant and other M&E systems
• Experience within a variety of contract environments
• P&L Responsibility with a track record of success
• Strong client focus and clear, concise communication skills
• Excellent commercial acumen, understanding of KPIs & strong history of successfully delivery contracts in financial terms
• Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with the team, clients, support functions and other departments to optimise service levels
• Working knowledge of CAFM/Other Systems
