Salary:£22,400-£25,600 gross per annum based on part time working (£28,000 - £32,000 gross per annum based on full-time working), dependent on experience.(pro-rata)

The Digital Marketing Officer will support the communication of key Crafts Council activities and programmes, including our membership, Maker Directory, Crafts Council's collection, Craft school, Young Craft Citizens, and broader advocacy. You will work to improve online conversion rates including click-through-rate, bookings and subscriptions, and maintain digital audiences focusing on increasing engagement and interaction with Crafts Council activities and programmes.

Main Duties:

  • Create engaging written and visual content for social media (organic and paid), e-news and web, with up-to-the-minute understanding of best practice across each channel and of house style and tone
  • Maintain our active social media channels including link in bio info, account following, hashtag monitoring, customer services, partner fulfilment, accessibility fixes, copy editing and image sourcing
  • Manage organic and paid campaigns to amplify activity and convert interest into action
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, sponsors, the maker community, and our young people's programme (Young Craft Citizens) to produce engaging content and drive any call-to-action as required
  • Bring a strong visual sensibility and understanding of the content production process, from brief to delivery
  • Create static and moving visual assets for social media, newsletters and external advertising using design tools such as In Design or Canva, including banners, posts, reels, and print adverts
  • Respond in real-time to queries via DM and in a public forum and support the management of several online communities
  • Use Google Analytics, Looker Studio and Mailchimp analytics to translate data into useful insights to inform future campaigns and communicate these reports and insights to the rest of the team
  • Ensure all marketing is functionally accessible and all content works towards the aim of promoting diversity, inclusivity and equal opportunities
