OVERALL DESCRIPTION – Digital Marketing Manager
As Digital Marketing Manager , you’ll primarily work alongside our client teams to extend the reach and impact of earned and paid media through smart digital execution. From organic socials to paid digital campaigns, you’ll lead the digital component of our integrated client campaigns, delivering consistent commercial results.
Alongside this, you will work internally with our marketing team to broaden Babel’s reach into new markets and amplify our own messaging online.
This role blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment and understands the unique demands of marketing to the B2B sector.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
/ 4+ years in digital marketing, ideally in a B2B with a strong tech portfolio.
/ Proven track record of running successful demand gen campaigns targeting decision makers and tech buyers.
/ Deep understanding of LinkedIn and Google advertising, B2B funnel metrics, and account-based marketing principles.
/ Working knowledge of SEO, CRMs (e.g., HubSpot), and basic CMS tools (e.g., WordPress).
/ Design and creative skills and experience in creating and delivering high-performing ad campaigns.
/ Excellent project management, communication, and client presentation skills.
/ Have an analytical mindset, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
/ Motivated to learn, demonstrate proactivity and strive for high quality.
/ The ability to work collaboratively and independently, including team line management and mentor experience.
/ The ability to contribute towards and manage team delivery of client KPIs and significant client ‘wow’ moments.
/ Compassionate to others’ ways of working and personal preferences.
THE JOB AND WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
/ Designing and implementing digital strategies that align with wider client campaigns to boost visibility, engagement, and demand generation.
/ Running targeted LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and paid social campaigns for B2B audiences - optimised for CPL, MQLs, and pipeline impact.
/ Building and maintaining content-driven landing pages and microsites to support client campaigns and Babel’s own website.
/ Leveraging SEO, content syndication, and email marketing to support inbound efforts and extend the value of earned and owned media.
/ Collaborating with internal teams to repurpose media coverage and thought leadership into digital-ready content across all channels.
/ Participating in cross-functional strategic discussions to develop integrated campaigns that drive impact for our clients.
/ Providing campaign performance reporting using tools like Google Analytics, HubSpot, and native ad platform dashboards.
/ Keeping up-to-date on digital marketing trends, B2B buyer behaviours, and emerging tools to enhance campaign performance.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE
/ Experience within the tech industry, either in an agency, or in-house
/ Basic graphic design or video editing skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe, or Figma)
/ Understanding of the B2B technology sales cycle and buyer journey
/ Experience in selling digital marketing services to prospective clients. Alternatively, selling in digital marketing campaigns to senior stakeholders (if working in-house) and securing budget
WHAT YOU’LL GET WORKING AT BABEL
/ Opportunity to grow into a leadership position and own the digital marketing portfolio at Babel.
/ Ability to test, learn and experiment using Babel’s own channels to further improve client outcomes.
/ Broaden your expertise beyond digital marketing and learn from PR, Content Marketing and Creatives, enabling you to better understand the full suite of marketing tactics.
/ Work directly with the Head of B2B Marketing and play a critical role in the strategic direction of client work and Babel’s marketing services portfolio.
/ Implement and execute the latest thinking in promotional marketing, educating clients to move away from lead-gen and adopt demand gen practices, with a bigger focus on brand campaigns than bottom of the funnel performance marketing.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
/ The salary for the Digital Marketing Manager position is £37,000 - £62,000.
/ Pension after three months. New joiners are eligible for our bonus scheme after the successful completion of a six-month probationary period. In addition, after your probationary period you are eligible for an interest-free season ticket travel loan, our cycle to work scheme, free eye tests and the influenza vaccine.
/ Other benefits include a duvet day, loyalty days, a paid sabbatical, reduced working hours during the summer, the opportunity to work from abroad and much more.
/ New business and recruitment bonuses are also available.
LOCATION AND OFFICE/HOME WORKING
/ Our office is located in central London. Local tube stations include Oxford Circus, Great Portland Street, Regent’s Park, Goodge Street and Warren Street.
/ For the first four weeks new joiners are required to work from the office four days a week for training purposes (and one day working from home).
/ After four weeks, new joiners can work three days in the office and two days at home.
/ All employees work from the office on Tuesday and Thursdays plus another day of the week.
/ Employees can work from the office for more than three days a week if they wish to do so.
