The Opportunity:

A vacancy has arisen for a dynamic, consumer-centric Digital Marketing Executive in Clarion’s Enthusiast Department across the Baby portfolio – https://www.thebabyshow.co.uk/excel, The Baby Show Olympia London, The Baby Show NEC Birmingham.

Born in 2002, The Baby Show is the leading Baby, Pregnancy and Parenting B2C Event in the UK. It takes place three times a year at ExCeL London, NEC Birmingham, and Olympia London, supporting around 70,000 expectant and new parents, babies, and grandparents annually.

The event is the nation’s largest shopping destination for all things baby, offering attendees the opportunity to compare, try, and buy from over 350 brands. It provides a unique visitor experience with free support, information, and advice from the UK’s leading baby and parenting experts on topics from sleep and birth to breastfeeding, first aid, weaning, and development.

This exciting role offers a great opportunity to impact these events. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Senior Marketing Campaign Executive to implement marketing plans aligned with the event strategy. You will report directly to the Marketing Manager, who will support your development and provide leadership and guidance.

The Candidate:

We seek an enthusiastic, articulate, customer-centric individual with solid digital skills ready to drive digital campaigns and with a good understanding of marketing and events principles.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in digital marketing, including social media and campaign implementation, and strong communication, organizational, and social media skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple campaigns simultaneously, is essential. You will work with the wider marketing team to set and achieve key metrics in line with overall event marketing strategies.

Strong digital marketing success and experience in executing digital and social media campaigns are required. The role suits someone thriving in dynamic environments who can seamlessly integrate online strategies with on-site activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to developing customer-centric marketing strategies.
  2. Assist in planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns on time.
  3. Create and proof content for websites, emails, social media, and collateral.
  4. Maximize email campaign performance via HTML, automation, and segmentation (including Engagement Studio).
  5. Maintain and update website content, layout, and assets for optimization.
  6. Manage the Baby portfolio’s databases using the Customer Data Platform (CDP).
  7. Plan, execute, and analyze email campaigns.
  8. Manage social media channels, both organic and paid.
  9. Collaborate with the creative team to produce digital collateral.
  10. Build relationships with partners, sponsors, media, influencers, and exhibitors.
  11. Report on campaign effectiveness and suggest growth opportunities.
  12. Use Google Analytics to analyze data and personalize visitor experiences.
  13. Develop and maintain online systems (e.g., Pardot analysis, website forms, pop-ups, sign-ups).
  14. Build exhibitor digital marketing packages to maximize event presence.
  15. Support at-show marketing campaigns and event delivery.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:
  1. Experience in event marketing with successful multi-channel campaigns.
  2. Experience with email marketing and automation, preferably Pardot.
  3. Knowledge of digital marketing including social media, content, and affiliate marketing; experience with PPC, Display, Paid Social; awareness of latest trends like TikTok.
  4. Skills in SEO, Google AdWords & Analytics, content management, social media tools (Later, Canva), mobile apps, video, blogs.
  5. Strong attention to detail, copywriting, proofing, and analytical skills.
  6. Understanding of design and print processes.
  7. Solid grasp of core marketing disciplines and data segmentation techniques (Treasure Data knowledge is a plus).
  8. Knowledge of tracking, response reporting, databases, and customer journey segmentation.
  9. Understanding of consumer markets is beneficial but not essential.
  10. Excellent attention to detail, hardworking, and able to balance workload.
  11. Good team player and communicator.
  12. Self-motivated with initiative.
  13. Ability to build rapport internally and externally.
  14. Multi-tasking skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  15. Creativity and analytical thinking.
  16. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Canva, and general IT skills.
  17. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  18. Budget management skills.
