INASP - International Network for Advancing Science and Policy - is a highly experienced capacity development organisation. Based in Oxford, UK, we work with a global network of partners to strengthen research and knowledge systems for development. We have over 30 years’ experience of working with universities, research institutes, national science academies, think tanks, civil society organisations, government agencies and parliaments, across Africa, Asia and Latin America.

We are dedicated to enabling researchers and educators to create relevant and rigorous knowledge for their communities and powerful learning experiences for young people. We aim to achieve impact in three domains:

  • Youth can secure meaningful and dignified work
  • Critical knowledge for policy, practice and communities
  • Women educators and researchers leading change

To achieve our desired impact, we

  • Offer digital and blended learning programmes, designed for and with Global South researchers and educators
  • Foster communities that enable early career researchers and educators to forge connections with each other, to share knowledge and learn together within and across countries.
  • Focus on specifically addressing the needs of women researchers and educators
  • Work in partnership with universities to facilitate changes in institutional policy, processes and culture

For the last decade INASP has been designing and delivering high quality digital learning for researchers and educators, designing specifically for Global South professionals. We have enabled over 30,000 to build essential skills and competencies over the past five years. By 2028, we aim to have enabled an additional 40,000 early career researchers to bring their ideas, knowledge and passion to bear on the most pressing challenges facing their communities, countries, and the world as a whole by delivering online professional learning and development to over 10,000 learners each year.

We are looking for a creative Digital Learning Coordinator with expertise in designing high quality, engaging digital learning experiences for adult learners to join INASP and partners in our collaborative efforts to support researchers and educators in generating relevant knowledge for their communities and creating impactful learning experiences for young people.

The Role

The Digital Learning Coordinator will play a key role in the programme team to ensure the successful delivery of digital learning initiatives across INASP projects that support early career researchers in advancing their careers and conducting impactful research for the benefit of society. This will include designing, developing, and delivering online courses and modules for researchers and advising on different tools that can be used to support the engagement of learners online.

Key Responsibilities

In close coordination with the relevantline or project manager/lead, the Digital Learning Coordinatorwill:

  • Scope, design and storyboard digital learning content using latest instructional design methods
  • Commission and manage subject experts to transform content into effective digital learning materials and experiences
  • Coordinate the design process of new digital learning materials and experiences, ensuring we meet project timelines and INASP quality standards
  • Coordinate the running of open and bespoke courses for researchers, liaising with course moderators and facilitators
  • Work with the INASP team and external consultants to develop innovative learning content in a variety of formats
  • Work with colleagues to promote, develop and fundraise for new projects.
We are looking for candidates with
  • Demonstrable experience in a digital learning role in the context of adult learning
  • Experience of planning high-quality online learning by identifying learning outcomes, aligning activities and assessments, and structuring content to support learner engagement
  • Experience of using Moodle and other digital tools to create high quality learning experiences, and supporting others to use them
  • Ability to present content and learning activities in a clear and engaging manner using digital technology
  • Commitment to the quality of outputs, with attention to detail
  • A demonstrable interest in Global South research and higher education contexts
Terms

Salary: Competitive salary with a range of benefits

Duration: Fixed Term, 12 months with potential to renew.

Time: Full time

Location: Remote (with periodic travel to Oxford if based in the UK).
