Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is leading a Sizewell C digital adoption initiative, seeking a Digital Adoption Co-ordinator – 3D Model Management to drive end-to-end model governance and paperless workflows.

You will collaborate with Digital Engineering, Design and Information Management teams to implement efficient 3D model processes, optimise CDE workflows and support training and knowledge sharing across the programme.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Digital Engineering, BIM or 3D model management in construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and digital information management principles.
  • Experience administering platforms such as Trimble Connect or similar CDE solutions.
  • Knowledge of 3D model federation, model checking and digital coordination processes.
  • Understanding design management and digital engineering workflows.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or technology deployment in construction is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with ACC, BIMCollab, Asite, 12D Synergy, Morta or Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end 3D model management processes across the project lifecycle.
  • Governance, administration and packaging of 3D models for site use (Trimble Connect).
  • Support model review, approval and coordination across Digital Engineering, Design and Information Management.
  • Develop Information Delivery Specifications and ensure model deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Assist in optimizing CDE workflows for efficient information distribution.
  • Create training materials and support project teams in 3D models and digital workflows.
  • Help implement paperless construction and digital delivery initiatives.
  • Collaborate with digital, engineering and supply chain teams to improve information flow.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through digitalisation, automation and data-driven decisions.
  • Capture lessons learned and promote best practice across the programme.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes – Sizewell C – a once-in-a-generation clean energy project that will help power over 6 million homes for decades to come. Working within the Civil Works Alliance (a partnership between Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke), you'll play a key role in driving the adoption of digital engineering and 3D model management across one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects. As a Digital Adoption Co-ordinator – 3D Model Management, you'll support the implementation of digital processes that enable seamless collaboration between Digital Engineering, Design, Information Management and Construction teams. You'll help ensure that 3D models are effectively managed, governed and deployed to site, supporting a paperless approach to construction and improving project delivery through innovative digital solutions.

What You'll Be Doing?
  • Supporting the development and implementation of end-to-end 3D model management processes across the project lifecycle
  • Managing the governance, administration and packaging of 3D models for site-based use through platforms such as Trimble Connect
  • Supporting model review, approval and coordination processes across Digital Engineering, Design and Information Management teams
  • Helping develop Information Delivery Specifications (IDS) and ensuring model deliverables align with project requirements
  • Supporting the optimisation of Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows to improve the efficient distribution of digital information
  • Developing training materials and supporting project teams in the effective use of 3D models and digital workflows
  • Supporting the implementation of paperless construction processes and digital delivery initiatives
  • Working closely with digital, engineering and supply chain teams to improve collaboration and information flow
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes through digitalisation, automation and data-driven decision making
  • Supporting continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and promoting best practice across the programme
What We’re Looking For?
  • Experience working with Digital Engineering, BIM or 3D model management within construction or infrastructure projects
  • Good understanding of ISO 19650 and digital information management principles
  • Experience administering or supporting platforms such as Trimble Connect or similar Common Data Environment solutions
  • Knowledge of 3D model federation, model checking and digital coordination processes
  • Understanding of design management and digital engineering workflows
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience supporting digital transformation or technology deployment within construction would be advantageous
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIMCollab, Asite, 12D Synergy, Morta or Power BI would be beneficial
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for digital innovation and continuous improvement
