Job summary

Volkswagen Group UK is offering a one-year undergraduate placement in marketing, based at Milton Keynes. You will be part of the digital team, creating and managing website content and collaborating with a London-based third-party agency and internal stakeholders.

What will you be doing?

A placement here will immerse you in a busy, high-achieving marketing team for an internationally recognised brand. You'll be a core part of our marketing department working in the digital team creating and managing website content. You will work closely with a third-party digital agency in London and many internal business stakeholders to deliver a wide range of projects covering an exciting range of vehicles. Your role will help to drive customer engagement, sales leads and loyalty for our brands, using data and insight in decision making and optimisation, targeting both consumer and b2b customers.

What do you need?

To be successful in this team you'll have ambition, a creative vision, a desire to learn, and be comfortable managing priorities. You'll be passionate about technology and have a customer first mindset. You'll have the ability to self-manage projects and deadlines and produce results, demonstrating an aptitude for communication. Our placement is open to any university student who is eligible to work full-time in the UK for twelve months from June 2027. You should be on a sandwich degree which offers a one-year industrial placement. We believe all employees should have a good work/life balance and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our placement students to be based within a reasonable distance from our Milton Keynes head office.

What's the assessment process?

You will be asked to complete numerical assessment and situational judgement assessments. If you successfully complete these, we will invite you to an online video interview so that we have a chance to get to know a little more about you. Our final step in the journey would be for you to attend a face-to-face assessment centre, where you will take part in a range of activities based on real-life tasks. You will also have a chance to meet some of our managers and current placement students to find out more about the scheme. This process is designed to help us both work out if a placement here is the right step for you. Successful candidates will be offered a place soon after the assessment centre.
