Job summary

Volkswagen Group UK offers an industrial placement for a university student to support people development and strategic projects at our Milton Keynes head office. You’ll contribute to building a skilled network and deliver value through data-driven insights.

You will collect and analyse data, produce reports and presentations, and provide insight on the employee life cycle with a focus on development. This 12-month placement starts June 2027 and requires working full-time in the UK.

Job description

What will you be doing?
You'll play a key part in the teams' ambition to have a qualified network, with the capability to deliver. People are paramount in delivering a consistent and excellent experience to all our customers. In this role you'll support to ensure we have the right people with the right skills, knowledge and attitude in the right role in the network.
You'll coordinate, compile and maintain key data, reports and presentations. You'll be part of projects to drive the people agenda. You'll support key stakeholders across our business, providing insight on all elements of the employee life cycle, with particular focus on development.

To be successful in this role you'll have an interest in people development. You'll enjoy working in a strategic role supporting projects to add value to the people in our network. You must enjoy gathering and analysing data and be proactive in your approach. You need to have a keen eye for detail and enjoy working as part of a team as well as be motivated to drive your own agenda.

Our placement is open to any university student who is eligible to work full-time in the UK for twelve months from June 2027. You should be on a sandwich degree which offers a one-year industrial placement.
We believe all employees should have a good work/life balance and wouldn't want you to spend a large amount of time commuting, so we require our placement students to be based within a reasonable distance from our Milton Keynes head office.
