As a Digital Content Editor, you will contribute to improving the use of our website and digital channels, such as bulk emails, with content strategies grounded in evidence and strategic planning. Your role involves enhancing resident experience by improving website usability and accessibility, including content optimization for search and navigation.
You will create, edit, and publish digital content supporting the Council’s campaigns, maintain content updates, and review web content for continuous improvement.
Additional responsibilities include devising content for Newham e-newsletters and the intranet, ensuring pages are current, easy to navigate, and user-friendly. You will develop engaging content for all digital channels, adhering to Newham brand guidelines, the web content strategy, and accessibility best practices.
You will utilize web analytics to monitor traffic, user behavior, and engagement, collaborating with the Senior Digital Content Editor to implement improvements. You will support content planning and contribute to the digital content strategy development.
You will also advise and guide front-line services responsible for their own content maintenance.
