East Lothian Council invites applications for a Digital Communications & Change Engagement Intern. The role supports the Strategic Change team by producing engaging digital content, learning resources and communications to help managers and staff navigate change.

The position requires a degree, strong digital media and communications skills, and the ability to travel within East Lothian. It offers a hybrid working pattern and a 12-week placement starting 04/01/2027 with a Real Living Wage.

Qualifications

• A degree with strong interest in digital communications, content creation and organisational change is essential.
• Good written communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office and Teams) are required.
• Ability to commute to the office at least twice a week and travel to East Lothian locations as needed.

Responsabilités

• Develop engaging digital content and learning materials to embed change management.
• Transform the change toolkit into digital learning resources (e-learning modules, guides, infographics).
• Create animations, videos and visual explainers on change topics for accessible learning.
• Support project teams with communication campaigns, briefs, presentations, newsletters and promotional materials.
• Create digital support resources (quick reference guides, checklists, how-to videos) for new systems like Proxima.
• Establish a consistent visual identity and templates across programmes to improve engagement.
