We welcome candidates who bring international expertise, and we will consider how we can be flexible to involve non-GB-based candidates in the work of DAP.
Members of the Panel draw on their own professional expertise and that of their network to advise and guide the Commission. This is primarily done by providing input during meetings or by reviewing written material. Meetings are generally held online, but there are some opportunities to meet in person in our Birmingham offices.
Shortlisting and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis as applications are received, with all shortlisted candidates given a minimum of 5 working days ahead of their interview date.
Interviews will be conducted week commencing 2nd February 2026 and will be held via Teams.

DAP is provided with secretariat support by the Gambling Commission. Members of DAP should not receive funding or have financial interests in the gambling industry.

Meetings are currently held remotely. Where face to face meetings are held, these will usually take place in Birmingham. We will discuss with candidates what flexibility will be needed to enable participation.
Set up under the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission is committed to safeguarding the public against any detrimental impact brought about by gambling. We do this by keeping crime out, protecting children and vulnerable people and ensuring the commercial gambling industry is run fairly and openly. We work with the legal system, the public health system, community groups and the industry itself to understand how we can protect the interests of as many people as possible, as effectively as possible.
