Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a dietitian with a specialist interest in diabetes and maternity care to join the acute team. The post covers gestational diabetes and pre-existing diabetes across the maternity pathway, with outpatient work and a small amount of inpatient duties.

You will provide expert nutritional assessment, education and dietary management, work within a multidisciplinary diabetes and maternity team, and help shape the service as it

Qualifications

• Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics and HCPC registration.
• Post-registration experience in diverse dietetic areas.
• Experience giving advice to patients with diabetes.
• Experience giving dietary advice relating to pregnancy.
• Supervision and training of students and junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high standard of knowledge and practical experience in general dietetics with specialist diabetes and maternity care.
• Manage a highly diverse caseload.
• Support and supervise junior dietitians, dietetic assistants and students.
• Build strong working relationships with the multidisciplinary team.
• Engage in CPD and implement evidence-based guidelines.
