Job summary

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic dietitian with a specialist interest in diabetes and maternity care. The role involves expert nutritional assessment, education, and dietary management for women with gestational diabetes and pre-existing diabetes throughout the maternity pathway.

You will work within the multidisciplinary diabetes and maternity team to optimise maternal glycaemic control and promote healthy outcomes for both mother and baby.

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain knowledge in general dietetics with specialist diabetes and maternity care.
• Provide evidence-based dietary management for gestational and pre-existing diabetes.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to optimise maternal glycaemic control.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert nutritional assessment, education and dietary management for women with gestational diabetes.
• Deliver care in maternity pathway as part of the diabetes and maternity team.
• Support service development and shaping of the new role with team lead guidance.
• Supervise junior staff and students as part of the department team.
