Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 12 pm - 9:30 pm

Required License: Valid Class A FL license or willingness to obtain one (we will provide training and pay for licensing)

Mechanic Pay: $25 - $32 per hour base, depending on experience, plus up to $3 per hour incentive

We are seeking a fleet mechanic responsible for maintenance, repairs, and inspections on trucks, trailers, forklifts, cars, and other equipment. Maintains cleanliness of the garage area.

Essential Duties:

• Assist drivers with minor mechanical issues before delivery.
• Perform road repairs as needed.
• Conduct weekly fleet checks, including mileage, fluids, belts, tires, leaks, and inspections.
• Drive repaired vehicles to verify repairs meet specifications.
• Repair forklifts, chargers, batteries, and other equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Inspect tires, ensure DOT compliance, and address vehicle appearance issues.
• Maintain vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
• Inspect refrigeration units and perform electrical or diesel repairs as needed.
• Manage Vehicle Condition Reports and file paperwork accordingly.
• Log maintenance activities in shop software and process invoices promptly.
• Drive tractor trailers between company facilities as required.
• Assist with facility maintenance and yard inspections.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to maneuver in tight, low areas during repairs.
• Proficient with hand and air tools.
• Occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
