Job summary

Pertemps Daventry is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for a varied, hands-on role focused on fault finding, servicing and maintaining diesel engines. You'll join a supportive team and work to high engineering standards.

The position offers a Temporary to Permanent opportunity with a salary of £19.00 per hour, and options for full-time or part-time hours. Training and development are provided in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in mechanical engineering.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of common rail/ECU systems is advantageous.
• A proactive approach and the ability to work as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Service, rebuild, repair and maintain diesel engines.
• Diagnose faults on petrol, diesel and gas engines.
• Carry out electrical diagnostics and common rail/ECU fault finding.
• Work primarily from the workshop with occasional visits to customer sites.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
