Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Service Engineer (Diesel Engines) to service, maintain and repair diesel engines and pumping equipment across construction and industrial sites in the East Midlands. The role offers overtime, training and a clear progression path, with a company van and fuel card provided.

Working hours are 8:00AM–4:30PM, with an on-call rota of 1 in 4. A full UK driving licence and regional commuting ability are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working on diesel engines.
• Able to diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Commutable within the East Midlands region.

Responsibilities

• Service and maintain diesel engines and associated pump systems
• Carry out planned servicing and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs
• Prepare and inspect hire equipment
• Participate in an on-call rota of 1 in 4
• Cover the East Midlands patch, working 8:00AM – 4:30PM
