Job summary

Baltic Recruitment are seeking a Die Maintenance Technician for a Tier 1 automotive supplier. You will maintain, repair, modify and optimise injection moulding tooling to maximise performance, efficiency and quality.

Key duties include reactive/planned maintenance on tooling, root-cause analysis, cross-functional collaboration, welding repairs, workload prioritisation, and mentoring apprentices. You will work autonomously on rotating shifts to sustain tooling performance.

Qualifications

• Proven tooling maintenance experience in plastics/injection moulding.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving with long-term solutions.
• Experience with hot runner/manifold systems and tool finishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive and planned maintenance on press and injection moulding tooling.
• Diagnose tooling faults and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to meet targets and drive improvements.
• Carry out repairs involving MIG, TIG and ARC welding as required.
• Prioritise and manage maintenance tasks to suit production demands.
• Share knowledge, mentor apprentices and contribute to skills development.
• Operate autonomously during shifts and manage tooling performance without supervision.
