Job summary
Group 1 Automotive is seeking a Diagnostic Technician (Mechanic) to join the Audi Chelmsford team. You will perform high-quality maintenance and diagnostic work to manufacturer standards while delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll work with a friendly team at a leading automotive retail group, with opportunities for training and career progression. Competitive earnings include £50,000 OTE with uncapped potential and welcome bonuses for experienced technicians.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification.
- Thorough understanding of vehicle safety standards and guidelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to meet efficiency targets while maintaining quality.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- A current valid MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear or damage.
- Provide expert technical advice to customers when necessary.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards and foster trust.
- Collaborate with service reception and workshop control for seamless workflow.
- Support and guide fellow Technicians in the workshop.
