Job summary

Taylors Jaguar Landrover & Renault is recruiting a Vehicle Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to very high standards within our independent, expanding workshop. You will work closely with Service Advisors, keeping knowledge current and delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a time-served or IMI/C&G L2-L3 qualified technician with at least 2 years in a workshop setting and a full UK driving license. This is a full-time position with a focus on quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in independent workshop or main franchise dealer.
• Knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance, service and repair.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Must possess a full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Carry out diagnosis and repair of vehicles to high standards.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and Workshop Control.
• Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of the product portfolio.
• Maintain high levels of customer service to encourage loyalty and referrals.
• Use the in-house system to record all activity accurately.
• Attend internal/external training courses to stay updated with industry changes.
• Contribute to creating and maintaining a positive and friendly working environment.

Working Hours:

42 hours. 08.00 - 17.30 Mon-Thu, 08.00-17.00 Friday only.

Skills & Experience:

• The ideal candidate will either be a time served Vehicle Technician / Mechanic or be a qualified Vehicle Technician (IMI / C&G L2 or L3) with at least 2 years experience within either an independent workshop environment or a main franchise dealer.
• Possess a good and varied knowledge and understanding of motor vehicles maintenance, service and repair.
• Professional appearance and attitude
• Possess a full UK driving license.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carrying out diagnosis and repair of vehicles to the highest standards.
• Communicating with the Service Advisors and Workshop Control
• Maintain a thorough and up-to-date technical knowledge of product portfolio.
• Maintain the highest levels of customer service to encourage customer loyalty and referrals.
• Use of the in-house company computer system to accurately record all activity.
• A willingness to attend any internal / external company training courses aimed at enhancing your skills and keeping up to date with industry changes / standards.
• To help create and maintain a positive and friendly working environment.
