Job summary

Active Force Recruitment is sourcing a Diagnostic & Specialist Technician for a leading automotive organisation in Portbury, Bristol. You will diagnose, repair and maintain a range of vehicles to high standards in a modern workshop.

The role requires Level 3/4 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, strong diagnostic ability, and a full UK driving licence. The company offers ongoing training and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding experience across modern vehicle systems.
• Excellent understanding of mechanical, electrical and electronic vehicle technology.
• Confident using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
• Carry out advanced repairs using manufacturer and specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs to a consistently high standard.
• Interpret technical information and diagnostic data to identify root causes efficiently.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and health & safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate workshop documentation and repair records.
• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues where required.
• Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of the workshop.
