Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Band 5 Radiographers. We welcome HCPC registered radiographers or final-year radiography students to join a growing Medical Imaging Department at Leighton Hospital, Crewe.

The department has invested in CT & MRI, new digital imaging rooms and a 24/7 CT service at Leighton with 8–8 service at VIN, offering strong CPD and personal development opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be HCPC registered and UK eligible for registration.
• Full registration with HCPC or be a final-year radiography student on placement.
• DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional standards per Society of Radiographers and Trust policies.
• Attend mandatory training and participate in audits and CPD.
• Work across CT, MRI, general radiography and portable imaging as trained.
• Cover X-ray Department at Victoria Infirmary, Northwich when required.
• Participate in out-of-hours rotas and departmental shift system.
• Promote teamwork and effective communication with wards and clinicians.

Main duties of the job

We have Band 5 radiographer vacancies for enthusiastic, ambitious candidates to join our friendly and forward-thinking department.

The Medical Imaging Department has had major investment in CT & MRI, and has recently purchased 4 new Digital Imaging rooms and have recently opened a new Emergency Department CT and X ray room. Our services are expanding further, with the expansion of the ED department to include further projectional and CT imaging provision, along with a successful CDC bid becoming operational at our second site at Victoria Infirmary, Northwich.

We provide a 24/7 CT at the Leighton site, and 8 to 8 service at VIN. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in the out of hour's rotas.

The Radiology department has been recognised as the Best Training Placement for Radiologist Registrars for the last 3 years.

Having successfully bid for a "Community Diagnostic Centre" , we have expanded our services in the Imaging Department at the Victoria Infirmary, Northwich site. This includes projectional imaging, USS, DXA and CT services, with a new CT scanner installed and operational from June 2022. The projectional x-ray equipment has been upgraded in one of the rooms to the latest in Samsung technology and upgraded to new Carestream DR in the second room.

Job responsibilities

• To maintain professional standards in accordance with Society of Radiographers policies and professional code of conduct.
