Job summary

Circle Health Group’s The Blackheath Hospital in London is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant (Bank) to join the Imaging department on an as and when required basis. The role supports busy periods and staff holidays, providing patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary team under supervision.

Candidates should have imaging or healthcare assistant experience, a Care Certificate or willingness to work towards NVQ levels 2/3, and GCSEs in Maths and English.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a Care Certificate or equivalent.
• NVQ levels in Healthcare (1–3) are desirable or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of patient-centred care as part of the imaging team.
• Support the imaging department and consultants, under supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• Demonstrate professional conduct per NMC HCPC frameworks and standards.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
• Complete required mandatory training.

Salary: Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join their team of staff in theImagingdepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• You work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient-centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.
• You work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• You conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/ Imaging Assistants standard framework, understanding the standards in accordance with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• You demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas.
• You work alongside multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality care provision for patients.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
