Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital is part of Circle Health Group and is inviting applications for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant on a bank basis. The role involves covering shifts as needed in the Imaging Department, delivering patient-centred care, and supporting clinicians and the wider team in a busy private healthcare setting.

The position offers an hourly-rate band with progression through training and qualifications; applicants should bring imaging or healthcare assistant experience and be prepared

Qualifications

• Previous imaging or healthcare assistant experience.
• Experience in customer care, including challenging situations.
• Care Certificate (or working towards).
• GCSE Maths/English A–C or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standard of patient-centred care within imaging team.
• Work with multidisciplinary team to deliver care and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to NMC HCPC codes and professional conduct.
• Demonstrate imaging assistant competencies within scope of duties.
• Collaborate with team to provide safe, high-quality patient care.
• Complete mandatory training as required by the role.

Salary: Up to £13.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join their team of staff in the Imaging department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• You work as an integral part of the imaging team, providing a high standard of patient-centred care, meeting the needs of patients, consultants and colleagues.
• You work within the multi-disciplinary team to deliver care, maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
• You conduct yourself professionally within the HCA/ Imaging Assistants standard framework, understanding the standards in accordance with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) Codes of professional Conduct and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• You demonstrate competence in the role of Imaging Assistant within the scope of your working areas.
• You work alongside multi-disciplinary team to provide safe and high-quality care provision for patients.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Previous experience in an Imaging or Healthcare Assistant role.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• Care Certificate.
• NVQ Level 1 and/or be willing to work towards NVQ Level 2 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3 (Healthcare specific) or equivalent.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
