An established healthcare provider is looking for an enthusiastic Dietitian with expertise in diabetes management. This role involves delivering specialized dietetic services to complex patients, conducting one-on-one and group education sessions, and supporting ongoing service development. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Dietitian with experience in Diabetes to work for Central London Community Healthcare Trust. You will be expected to cover across boroughs in Central London, Hammersmith & Fulham, and West London.
The post is for 1 year to cover a fixed term/secondment. The role is based in a friendly community with great transport access. The ideal candidate will have an expert understanding of dietetic practices.
The successful candidate should have good knowledge of type 2 diabetes and will take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of a specialist dietetic service to complex patients in clinics made up of one-to-one and group education sessions, as well as providing dietetic support. You will be involved in audit, service evaluation, and will have the opportunity for ongoing CPD. You must have the ability to work as part of a team and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
To provide dietetic assessment and treatment to clients with diabetes within the Inner London Boroughs in a variety of settings, including clinics, groups, and client homes.
To be responsible for organising your own clinical workload and administrative tasks, and to be flexible to the needs of the service as indicated by the clinical lead/line manager.
To initiate and participate in clinical governance activities across the CLCH diabetes service, and to collect and record output to indicate service improvement.
To act as a source of expertise to key partners and other health professionals.
To ensure primary health care teams and non-NHS organisations have access to up-to-date nutritional information through the development of education and training materials and sessions.
