Job summary

G2 Recruitment Group Limited is seeking a DFG Technical Officer for East Anglia on a 3-month contract, offering hybrid working and ASAP start. You will manage a caseload of Disabled Facilities Grant applications from referral to completion, coordinating with Occupational Therapists and contractors.

The role requires surveying properties, producing schedules, drawings, and cost estimates, and ensuring work complies with Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience as a DFG Technical Officer or related role.
• Strong knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants and housing adaptations.
• Experience producing specifications and managing adaptation projects.
• Sound understanding of Building Regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy caseload.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Disabled Facilities Grant applications from referral through to completion.
• Carry out property inspections and technical surveys to determine adaptation requirements.
• Prepare schedules of works, specifications, drawings, and cost estimates.
• Liaise with Occupational Therapists to translate recommendations into practical adaptation solutions.
• Oversee contractors and monitor works on site to ensure quality and compliance.
• Ensure schemes are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Provide technical advice to applicants, landlords, and stakeholders throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate records and support grant approval processes.
