Job summary

Liberty Global is seeking a Senior Manager, DEX & IT Operations for a permanent hybrid role based in Leeds or Bradford, with two days in the office and three remote each week. You will lead IT Operations, manage a specialist team and partners, oversee core platforms such as Workday, Microsoft 365, ERP and Atlassian, and ensure security, reliability and governance to support growth.

Job description

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, DEX & IT Operations to join our team on a permanent basis. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to be based from either our Leeds or Bradford office, with two days in the office and three days working remotely each week.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping and leading Blume’s internal technology landscape as we continue to grow and evolve as an independent business. Supporting colleagues across multiple geographies and time zones, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our core enterprise systems are secure, reliable, and positioned to support future growth.

Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery of IT Operations, managing a specialist team and overseeing our managed service partners. You’ll drive critical migration and transformation initiatives, helping consolidate and modernise our technology estate while maintaining high standards of service, security, and governance.

Working across platforms including Workday, Microsoft 365, Atlassian, and ERP systems, you’ll ensure business-critical services remain resilient, compliant, and operationally effective, enabling our people to do their best work and supporting the continued success of the business.

What will you be doing?

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing IT Operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the day-to-day operation, support and optimisation of core enterprise platforms, including Workday, Microsoft 365, Atlassian and ERP systems.
• Own user access, system configuration, integrations and data integrity, ensuring reliable and efficient business operations.
• Drive system migrations, upgrades and technology transformation initiatives, supporting the move to a streamlined and well-governed technology estate.
• Manage and direct third-party IT service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed service levels and operational objectives.
• Maintain strong security, compliance and governance standards across all managed systems, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor system performance, availability and service metrics, identifying opportunities to enhance reliability and user experience.
• Act as the senior escalation point for critical incidents and service issues, coordinating timely resolution and minimising business impact.
• Oversee software licensing, vendor relationships and operational budgets within agreed frameworks and roadmaps.
• Ensure robust documentation, change management, business continuity and disaster recovery processes are maintained and regularly reviewed.

Essential

We tend to look for people with:

• Proven experience leading IT Operations or enterprise systems within a complex, multi-site organisation.
• Strong hands-on experience managing business-critical platforms such as Microsoft 365, Workday, ERP, or Atlassian environments.
• Expertise in system integrations, data flows, and ensuring data accuracy across interconnected platforms.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, and identity and access management.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing technical teams to deliver high-quality services and outcomes.
• Demonstrated success managing third-party IT service providers and vendors, ensuring delivery against agreed service levels.
• Track record of delivering system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
• Good understanding of IT security, governance, compliance, data protection, and audit requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Experience with integration and automation technologies such as Power Automate, Workato, MuleSoft, REST APIs, or webhooks.
• Background working within professional services or other regulated environments.
• Experience consolidating and modernising complex technology estates.
• Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks, including SLA and KPI reporting.
• Experience managing software licensing, renewals, and vendor relationships.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Azure, Workday, Atlassian, ITIL, or project management qualifications.
• Experience using scripting or low-code automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Previous experience supporting a rapidly growing organisation across multiple regions or time zones.
