Job summary

Netcompany Group A/S is seeking a DevOps Engineer to implement and support improvements, aiming to enhance software quality and speed up delivery. You will work across Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec and UCD to apply best practices in DevOps, focusing on automation and stakeholder collaboration.

The role requires 5+ years of DevOps experience, strong AWS/CI/CD skills, and knowledge of .NET/C#. Hybrid working model with some travel.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.

• Experience with multiple databases, architecture and integration.
• Experience with monitoring tools for reliability and performance.
• Kubernetes & Helm for orchestration and package management.
• Experience with AWS Cloud and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Database management including schema changes (Liquibase).
• Scripting ability to write automation scripts in Python.
• GitOps understanding.
• Java & Maven experience.
• Automation, proactive monitoring, and continuous improvement mindset.

Job description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerate delivery times. Having the shared responsibility between development/operations with a focus on people, process, tolls that take a unified customer/user focus. In a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, Infosec, UCD etc. all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practice in DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience of DevOps tooling, containers and containerisation
• Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
• Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
• Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.

Qualifications

• 5+ Years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Strong knowledgeofAWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Experience in .NET/C#
• Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration
• Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Kubernetes & Helm: Strong understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes and package management using Helm.
• Experience with AWS Cloud.
• CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
• Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
• Scripting: Ability to write automation scripts in Python
• GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
• Java & Maven: Experience with Java programming and Maven for builds.
• Core Principles: A mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and defining best practices.
• Must have willingness to travel
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance
