Job summary

Netcompany Group A/S is seeking a DevOps-focused professional in the UK to join the APS team. You will work on development, DevOps and support with on-call rotation, collaborating across Development, QA, IT Operations and InfoSec to improve delivery times and quality.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a similar DevOps/Hybrid role.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and CI/CD pipeline creation.
  • Practical Terraform and Kubernetes experience.
  • Experience in Java and multiple databases.
  • Monitoring tools experience for reliability and performance.
  • GitOps concepts and Jenkins pipelines familiarity.
  • Liquibase for schema changes and Helm-friendly workflows.
  • Automation-focused with proactive monitoring and best practices.
  • Willingness to travel and UK work rights.

Job Description

Responsible for implementing and supporting improvements, enhancing efficiency, enhancing software quality, and accelerating delivery times and having a shared responsibility between development/operations, with a focus on people, processes, and tools that take a unified customer/user focus in a multi-disciplinary team with Development, QA, IT Operations, InfoSec, UCD, etc., all working together to achieve a common goal of applying best practices in DevOps.

You will work in our APS (Application Support) team, where you will learn about the different platforms and products we support in the UK. You will be responsible for a mix of development, DevOps, and support, and will be part of an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience of DevOps tooling,containers and containerisation
  • Communication: Able to speak to stakeholders and be able to transfer business requirements into technical implementation
  • Facilitate information/business knowledge: Able to act as a business SME and understand what the business needs and how to support this into an efficient DevOps team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Able to negotiate and influence with stakeholders to ensure the service runs effectively and efforts are placed correctly.
Qualifications
  • 2+years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledgeofAWS and CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
  • Practical experienceusing Terraform and Kubernetes
  • Experience in Java
  • Experienced with multiple ecosystem databases, architecture and integration
  • Experience with monitoring tools to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Kubernetes & Helm: Strong understanding of container orchestration with Kubernetes and package management using Helm.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud.
  • CI/CD: Proficiency in setting up and maintaining pipelines, particularly with Jenkins.
  • Database Management: Experience with schema change management (e.g., Liquibase).
  • GitOps: Understanding of GitOps principles.
  • Core Principles: A mindset focused on automation, proactive monitoring, continuous improvement, and defining best practices.
  • Must have a willingness to travel
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must be able to attain a UK Security Clearance
