Job summary

Accenture UK & Ireland is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our Advanced Technology Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will contribute to delivering environments and tooling to support development and testing for both Accenture and client teams.

You will build automated CI/CD pipelines, configure GitLab/Jenkins/SonarQube, and automate serverless integrations using APIs. The role requires hands-on experience with cloud platforms, container orchestration, and IaC, within an Agile delivery context.

Qualifications

Experience with cloud offerings (public/private) and security best practices.
Hands-on CI/CD implementation with tools like GitLab, Jenkins, CodeBuild.
Infrastructure as code using CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform.
Configuration management with Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
Container-based environments with Docker, Docker Compose, OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Agile/Lean delivery methodologies.
Scripting in at least one language (Python/Node.js/TS/PowerShell/Bash).

Responsibilities

Deliver environments and tools to support development and testing for Accenture and client teams.
Set up and configure tools (GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube) and testing/security tools.
Create automated CI/CD processes for development teams.
Automate provisioning of serverless integrations via APIs.
