Job summary

Barclays is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and support secure, scalable infrastructure platforms ensuring reliability and performance through automation and best practices.

The role requires proven CI/CD experience, hands-on OpenShift/Kubernetes administration, and proficiency with DevOps toolchains such as GitLab, Maven, SonarQube and Wiz. Knutsford-based position with opportunities to influence cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Hands-on expertise with OpenShift/Kubernetes administration and application operations.
• Practical experience using DevOps toolchains, including GitLab, Maven, SonarQube and Wiz.

Responsibilities

• Build Engineering: Develop, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements with reliability, performance, and availability.
• Incident Management: Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify and resolve issues, outages, or vulnerabilities.
• Automation: Create automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Security: Implement secure configurations and protections against cyber threats, including data and access security.
• Teamwork: Work with product managers, architects and other engineers to align IT infrastructure with business goals using data-driven approaches.
• Learning: Stay current with technology trends and contribute to technology communities.
