Job summary

Technify Talent is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to own the delivery infrastructure for a mission-critical software platform. You will shape automated pipelines, deployment automation and environment provisioning to enable fast, repeatable software releases.

You will work with software engineers, platform specialists and test teams to continuously improve CI/CD, IaC and operational resilience in highly regulated environments. Hybrid work with Reading office is offered.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in DevOps/Platform/Infrastructure supporting production software.
• Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins or similar).
• Excellent knowledge of Docker and container deployment.
• Experience with IaC technologies such as Ansible, Terraform or equivalent.
• Scripting experience using Python or Bash.
• Experience deploying software into on-premises or restricted infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with messaging platforms and relational databases (RabbitMQ, MariaDB).
• Monitoring and managing distributed software deployments.
• Experience in regulated/mission-critical environments.
• Knowledge of observability, deployment automation and release management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test and release processes.
• Develop and improve deployment automation using IaC principles.
• Build and manage development, integration and pre-production environments.
• Automate environment provisioning for consistency and repeatability.
• Create and maintain monitoring, health checks and deployment reporting.
• Develop tooling and documentation to empower engineering teams to deploy independently.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve build reliability and deployment efficiency.
• Maintain version control, traceability and release management across the software lifecycle.
• Contribute to capacity planning and enhancement of the engineering platform.
