Matched Group seeks a DevOps Engineer to accelerate and stabilise Kubernetes environments hosted in AWS, delivering secure, repeatable development and production platforms. You will work with internal teams to design, build and operate robust infrastructure, deployment patterns, and practice knowledge transfer.

The role is delivery-focused, mostly remote in England with a Berkshire office on day one to collect equipment, and it is to start ASAP within a 2-week notice period.

Formación

• Experience designing, building and operating production-grade Kubernetes platforms within time-constrained programs (CI/CD).
• Strong AWS experience with containerised workloads and scalable architectures.
• Proven ability to implement IaC and automate secure, repeatable deployments.

Responsabilidades

• Assess Kubernetes platform, AWS architecture, and design a 6-month delivery plan.
• Design, build and configure secure, reliable Kubernetes environments in AWS.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across clusters, containers, and deployment pipelines.
• Produce architecture/ configuration documentation and handover knowledge.

Salary - Pro-rata annual salary

Location - mostly remote in England. Berkshire office day 1 to collect equipment (must be based in the UK)

The client is a fast growing SaaS business. As a DevOps Engineer you will focus on using Kubernetes and AWS to accelerate and unblock the delivery of a K8s environments hosted in AWS. You will work with internal teams to design, build and stabilise secure, repeatable development, testing and production environments. The role is delivery-focused - resolve technical blockers, establish robust infrastructure and deployment patterns, transfer knowledge and leave clear documentation and operational ownership at the end of the engagement.

• Assess the current Kubernetes platform, AWS architecture, delivery plans, and design 6 month delivery plan with clear priorities.
• Design, build and configure secure, reliable, and scalable Kubernetes environments in AWS
• Diagnose and resolve issues across clusters, containers, AWS services, storage, and deployment pipelines
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and automation as well as security, scalability, and monitoring best practice
• Produce concise architecture, configuration, and support documentation and provide practice knowledge to the team
• Experience designing, building and operating production grade Kubernetes platforms within time-constrained programs (CI/CD)
• AWS experience supporting containerised workloads
• Experience establishing separate development, testing and production environments with controlled configuration and release promotion
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration automation using Terraform and Ansible
• Experience documenting platform designs and transferring knowledge to an internal engineering team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
