A fintech scale-up, which doubled in size last year, is looking to hire a DevOps Engineer to join their team. Their customers are worldwide, and each country has different requirements to support through their platform. Their product aims to enable consumers, retailers, rewards publishers, and banks around the world to improve customer experience.

They are looking to hire their 2nd in-house DevOps Engineer who can be responsible for:

  1. Deploying updates and fixes, and providing Level 2 technical support
  2. Building tools to reduce errors and improve customer experience
  3. Developing software to integrate with internal back-end systems (data)
  4. Performing root cause analysis of production errors and resolving technical issues
  5. Developing scripts to automate visualization (management tools such as Sentry and Grafana)
  6. Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Technically, they need someone competent with AWS/Linux. Experience with tools such as Terraform or Kubernetes would be advantageous, but not mandatory as these can be taught.

The role offers a salary of up to £65,000, with occasional visits required in Glasgow to meet the team as it grows.
