Job Summary:


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team to help build and maintain our current and next-gen infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about DevOps practices and eager to grow their skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. This role will work with development and platform teams to support and improve our infrastructure automation, deployment processes and overall system reliability.

Responsibilities:

  1. Focus on critical CI/CD pipeline automation and tooling for the development team using open-source software to handle source code repository management, pipeline configuration, build and packaging scripts, test execution and reporting and deployment.
  2. Implement process improvement initiatives to maintain code base integrity, resource availability, security maturity, and performance monitoring/alerting (including check-in validation rules, branch/merge processes and defect resolution retrospectives).
  3. Collaborate with other team members to accelerate the software development and integration processes.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  1. Experience with AWS services such as ECR, ECS, Route53, RDS, EC2, Redis, and MSK including interfacing with them programmatically through APIs.
  2. Experience with CI/CD, project, and Knowledge management tools (e.g. Git/SVN, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
  3. Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and Windows server Operating Systems.
  4. Good understanding of CI/CD practices and a history of implementation.
  5. Programming experience with some combination of Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  6. Working knowledge with configuration management and deployment automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible is a plus.
  7. Experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.
  8. Comfortable working with various database technologies, especially Postgres is a plus.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline.
  2. Open to graduates; industry experience from projects, internships, or placements in software development is desirable.
