Job summary

Wates Group is recruiting a Site Quantity Surveyor for a large MoJ construction project in Devizes, Wiltshire. You will join the site-based commercial team, manage work packages from procurement to final account, and work closely with operations and supply chain to drive strong commercial outcomes.

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Site Quantity Surveyor within construction, preferably on medium to large building projects.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement and commercial management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with a collaborative approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage designated work packages from procurement through to final account on a MoJ project.
• Prepare valuations, forecasts and cost reports; monitor project costs and identify risks and opportunities.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and control of changes; support monthly reporting and financial reviews.
• Collaborate with site teams, design and planning colleagues; liaise with client and supply chain.
