Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Transport Planner with a development planning focus to join London's growth projects. You will contribute to Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, site access reviews, and masterplan input for mixed-use developments.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in development transport planning, familiarity with TRICS, ARCADY/PICADY, LINSIG and AutoCAD, and strong report-writing skills. A flexible/hybrid work setup and training opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

1–3+ years' experience in development-related transport planning.
Understanding of the UK planning system and planning application process.
Familiarity with TRICS, Junctions 9 (ARCADY/PICADY), LINSIG, AutoCAD.
Clear, concise technical report writing skills.
Enthusiastic, collaborative, and commercially aware.
Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or similar.
Working toward (or interested in) professional accreditation (CIHT, TPS, ICE).

Responsibilities

Deliver transport planning services to support development proposals, including Transport Assessments and Statements.
Produce Travel Plans and Travel Demand Strategies.
Review site access and layout; provide masterplan input and feasibility studies.
Assist with parking and servicing strategies.
Provide pre-application support and planning appeal input.
Liaise with planning consultants, architects and local authorities.
Prepare technical reports and supporting documents for submission.
