Job summary

A Development Management Team Leader is needed in Doncaster for a full-time temporary role paying £227.34 per day. Based in Doncaster, Allscreens Nationwide Ltd seeks an experienced leader to oversee the delivery of development management services, supervise workloads, and ensure compliance with planning legislation.

You will manage major, strategic planning applications, provide technical policy guidance, build relationships with applicants and stakeholders, monitor performance and timescales,

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of Development Management services, overseeing workloads, service performance and compliance with planning legislation and policy requirements.
• Manage a caseload of major, strategic and complex planning applications, including residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.
• Review and sign off planning applications, reports and recommendations, ensuring high-quality and consistent decision-making.
• Provide expert technical advice and guidance on planning policy, legislation and complex development proposals.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with applicants, developers, consultants and key stakeholders, representing the service at meetings and public forums as required.
• Monitor performance, quality standards and statutory timescales, supporting continuous service improvement and implementation of legislative and policy changes.
• Contribute to risk management, governance and best practice, ensuring planning processes are robust, efficient and customer-focused.
• Support strategic planning objectives through expert input on major developments, policy interpretation and operational planning matters.
