Job summary

Perenco in London seeks a Development Geologist to join the Geoscience department and deliver geological input for field development. You will work closely with geoscientists to identify drilling opportunities and provide geological expertise for development projects.

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc in Geology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
• Proficient with industry software including Petrel.
• Collaborative and team oriented.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality geological input to development acreage projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align geological workstreams.
• Apply sedimentology, well correlations, log analysis, sequence stratigraphy, mapping and geological model building.
• Coordinate and supervise third-party geological studies (biostratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemical analysis, log processing).
• Identify and recommend new well and workover opportunities; support drilling activities.
• Maintain thorough documentation of work, interpretations and datasets.
• Present findings in workshops and Technical Committee meetings.
