Job summary

Cambridge United FC is seeking a part-time coach for our Wellingborough Boys Development Centre. The role focuses on delivering high-quality coaching and preparing reports on players' performance.

You will assist with development fixtures and maintain attendance logs while engaging with players and parents to enhance the delivery of football development programs. The position requires commitment to continuous professional development, and the candidate should be able to work weekday evenings,

Qualifications

  • FA Level 1 coaching badge is required.
  • Introduction to First Aid qualification is required.
  • Experience in talent ID is preferred.
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer services is expected.
  • IT skills include Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of working with players/parents in football environments is beneficial.
  • Experience in leading/managing an area/people or teams is desirable.
  • Understanding of how elite players are developed is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Complete reports providing players with feedback on technical, tactical, physical and psychological performance.
  • Assist with developmental fixtures, typically during school holiday periods.
  • Complete and log accurate player attendance records for each session.
  • Attend CPD events to develop personal skills and apply improvements to GDC delivery.

Job description

This role is a part-time position to coach within our gifted & talented Wellingborough Boys Development Centre. This is a great opportunity for those who have experience and a passion for coaching within football and would like to be involved within a professional club.

Key Job Outcomes

  • To complete reports which will provide players with feedback on their technical, tactical, physical and psychological performance.
  • To assist with developmental fixtures which normally take place within the school holiday periods.
  • To complete and log accurate player attendance records to each session.
  • To attend CPD events in order to continually develop you own personal skills and knowledge alongside utilising and implementing these skills to improve the quality of GDC delivery.
