Guidant Global has partnered with a highly reputable Ministry of Defence organisation in the UK. Our client seeks a Development and Production Test Engineer with expertise in Electronic/Electrical engineering to support testing of weapons sub-systems and diagnostics at system and subsystem levels.

What we're looking for:

• HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualification or equivalent, with substantial experience in digital and analogue electronics manufacturing and testing.
• Knowledge of measurement and testing principles, and use of necessary equipment.
• Understanding of the CADMID product lifecycle related to test equipment is advantageous.
• RF and microwave technology knowledge at the subsystem level is highly beneficial.
• Experience with environmental testing, including ESS, is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills, capable of creating test specifications, operator instructions, and technical reports.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to plan and organise work to meet project objectives.
• Manual handling and ESD training.
• Medical requirements compliance.

What you'll do:

You will support testing throughout the design and development stages, assist in introducing test facilities, support testing of weapon systems and sub-assemblies, diagnose failures, and develop corrective actions. You will also represent Test Engineering at defect review meetings to ensure progress towards resolution.
