Based in Alzenau, near Frankfurt/M. in Germany, Hyundai Motorsport GmbH is responsible for Hyundai's global motorsport activities.

We are currently looking for a creative Development and Calibration Engineer to work within the Testing and Simulation Team. You will be involved in powertrain system thermo-fluids modelling and performance analysis to help produce a world-class product that provides a competitive advantage.

  • Responsibility for powertrain calibration at the test bench and, if required, race track.
  • Define test procedures for every new powertrain item, software, or hardware-related. Oversee the realization of the tests.
  • Optimize engine calibration and strategies to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
  • Provide innovative solutions to real engineering challenges that directly benefit our product.
  • Be part of a team while being wholly responsible for concept evaluation and analysis.
  • Engage in high-level interaction with the development of our end products.
  • Maintain autonomy to create and validate novel engineering solutions.
  • Create robust and versatile models, fostering innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art TC-DI engine development, focusing on powertrain test bench calibration and development.
  • Knowledge of operating modern automated test equipment.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages.
  • Strong practical skills with good manual dexterity.
  • Formula SAE experience is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ICE/powertrain testing and metrology.
  • Understanding of internal combustion engine and powertrain fundamentals.
  • Experience with test bench automation, combustion analysis, CAN bus architecture.
  • Competence in data post-processing tools (e.g., Wintax, ATLAS).
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of German or willingness to learn is a plus.
